Hi everyone, Tom here. I just wanted to talk about a recent project our team has been working on. So just a bit of a backstory, over the years Pool Pottery evolved from producing architectural symmetrics to creating vibrant decorative pieces, thriving in the 1920s. After 140 years in Dorset, sadly Pool Pottery decided to relocate, now operating within Middleport Pottery, which is situated in Stoke on Trent.
Fire Sprinkler Installation
The historic building underwent demolition and transformation and turned into 64 vibrant seaside flats. So Access Fire Sprinklers were entrusted with the task to install a Category 2 sprinkler system designed to BS 9251 2014 standards. So the team installed CPVC pipework throughout the building and the pump and testing facilities.
Concealed Sprinkler Heads
The sprinkler heads incorporate in the RD 208 design. These sprinkler heads are renowned for their sleek flat profile and compact diameter, making them the preferred choice for prioritising aesthetics without compromising on performance.
Dry Risers
So furthermore, we’re awarded a contract to maintain the dry risers ensuring two annual visits per year. So the first visit will be to carry out a visual inspection and the second visit to carry out a wet test.
So the flats all look very nice. And overall it was a good project, obviously the presence of a fire sprinkler system is indispensable for ensuring safety, security and well being for the residents.
